Health and mood
Neglect the six needs and Lagos Life makes you ill. This is what it costs to fix, and what the city sells for a better mood.
Quick answer
Keep two or more needs above 20 and you will rarely get sick. If it happens, a mild illness clears with ₦1,500 of chemist drugs from your phone; anything serious needs the ₦8,000 injection at General Hospital, which is open all day. Mood is your needs plus the moodlets you have picked up.
How you get ill
Every game hour the game counts your needs that sit under 20. Two or more, and neglect builds; a soaked moodlet adds to it too. Once neglect passes 8, a roll decides whether you fall ill, and the illness depends on what you were neglecting — being soaked brings catarrh, poor hygiene brings typhoid or food poisoning.
- One need under 20 is survivable; two at once is what starts the count.
- Shower after rain — the soaked moodlet feeds neglect.
- Mild illnesses become serious after a day, and a serious one means a hospital bill.

How mood works
Your mood is the six needs averaged out, then moodlets added or subtracted on top. That is why a sick moodlet matters more than one bad bar: "Very Sick" takes 35 points off your mood for two hours, "Feeling Sick" takes 15, and treatment replaces them with a recovering moodlet instead.
